Chronic
Sinusitis Linked to Fungal Infection
Bacterial super infection
has been named as the cause of Chronic Sinusitis: new evidence
points to Fungal infection as the cause of Chronic Sinusitis.
You can test your self today and see if it is a bacterial super
infection or a Fungal infection.
Fungal arthritis is an
inflammation of a joint caused by infection by a fungus. Fungal
or mycotic arthritis is a very rare condition and may be caused
by any of the invasive fungi. These organisms may affect bone
or joint tissue. One or more joints may be affected, with the
large weight-bearing joints, especially the knee, most commonly
affected.
Sporotrichosis is a chronic
skin infection, caused by the fungus (Sporothrix schenckii) which
may become a widespread (disseminated, systemic) infection, particularly
in people with weakened immune systems. Systemic sporotrichosis
can cause lung and breathing problems, osteomyelitis, arthritis,
and meningitis.
Histoplasmosis is a Fungal
infection caused by Histoplasma capsulatum, which primarily affects
the lungs but may spread to other organs.
Blastomycosis is a rare
Fungal infection caused by inhaling a fungus (Blastomyces dermatitidis),
which is found in wood and soil.
